STATES HINES
States Hines, founder of Vision 360, Inc. and co-founder of YourCFO, LLC and has more than 45 years of executive management experience.
States, during his career, has served as Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Engineering, Vice President of manufacturing, President, CEO and Chairman of The Board of various companies that he either founded or was asked to lead and now for the last 20 years he has served as a senior consultant. Since the founding of his consultancy, Vision 360, in 1989 States has worked with CEOs and their direct reports throughout the United States and the Caribbean, helping them learn how to create and then lead high performance teams and organizations.
States’ industry experience is diverse. He has had leadership roles in the aero/space, chemicals, insurance, jet engine component remanufacturing, materials handling automation, electronic component manufacturing, entertainment management, sales management, subsystems manufacturing and offshore assembly for the golf club and tennis racquet industries. He has worked with both large and small, on-going and start-up companies such as, Variety Guilds, Teledyne, Technical Industries, Inc., Republic Corporation, Chromalloy American Corporation, Coatings Composites, Krypton Industries and Vision 360.
States is a frequent motivational speaker and lecturer on high performance teams, sales and management and for 18 years has been a Chairman and facilitator of 4 executive round table groups (TEC). Since moving to Palm Beach County in 1979, he is, or has been, a member of the Advisory Board of the Professional and Business Forum, Harmsco, Inc., and RJ Gator’s Restaurants, and a member of the Board of Directors of The Governor’s Club, The Palm Beach Grand Prix Offshore Race, The American Red Cross and The Palm Beach Marine Institute.
CJ JANNEY
CJ Janney is co-founder of YourCFO, LLC. YourCFO is a Florida based corporation that teams with small businesses to provide them a top notch CFO for less than one third the cost of a full time CFO. YourCFO takes a proactive approach to planning and helps provide CEOs with timely accurate financial information and guidance so that they can make the best possible decisions regarding their business.
CJ graduated from the University of Florida and started his career with Ernst & Young as a member of their audit team. In addition to participating in and overseeing audits, CJ also served as a process improvement consultant on a six-month project for a multinational Fortune 500 company.
CJ left the firm in 1996 and joined SV Microwave as their CFO. During his 12 years with SV, CJ has taken on a multitude of roles and responsibilities that redefined the role of CFO and provided the outline for the services offered by MyCFO. These responsibilities included sales contract review and negotiations, cost estimation, IT oversight, strategic planning, Six Sigma greenbelt, and capital raising and commitment strategies. CJ also served as a GM for the Defense & Aerospace lines of business for SV from 2002 to 2004, growing the top line over 60% during that period of time.
CJ’s involvement in Vistage and with States Hines led them to create YourCFO in 2008 to serve the needs of CEO’s who need professional financial guidance without committing to a full time employee. CJ is a CPA and is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Outside of his career, CJ’s passions are spending time with his two children, golf and going to Florida Gator football games.
MICHAEL PORTER
Michael Porter received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting at Florida State University and earned a Master of Taxation Degree from The University of Alabama in 1994. He began his career with Ernst & Young in 1994 as a member of their audit practice.
In 2001, Michael became the CFO at HCG Technologies. During his three years with HCGT, Michael had direct responsibility over the financial, IT and HR functions of the business. He also participated as the financial analysis lead on HCGT’s Strategic Planning and Lean Six Sigma project teams.
In 2004, Michael assumed the role as President/CFO of GWF Distribution Southeast, LLC. During his five year tenure with GWFDSE, Michael implemented process, supply and sales strategies that resulted in average annual sales and operating profit growth of 71% and 117%, respectively. As with most turn-around businesses, Michael’s responsibilities crossed all business functions, from human resources and financial management to route sales and customer service. Michael facilitated the sale of the business in March 2009 and achieved a return for investors of over 62%.
Michael has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1994 and a member of the Florida and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. Michael has also served as Treasurer for his parish’s sports committee from 2008-2009.
Michael’s professional passions revolve around solving and implementing process and strategic solutions. When not striving to provide superior service to his clients, Michael loves spending times with his family, especially his two daughters, Crossfit and playing tennis.
